National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo)

The website for young writers is NaNoWriMo's Young Writers Program. You do not have to sign up on the website to participate. All participation is optional.

If you do want to sign up, here is a good place to start: How Does NaNoWriMo Work for Young Writers. If you do sign up, you will need to create a username.

We have found that our school email addresses are not working for the Young Writers Program. You may use your own email address, if you have one. Otherwise, please ask your parent's permission to use their email address. Make sure you sign up as a Young Writer, so that I can add you to our virtual classroom. After you sign up, they will send you an email that has a link. Click on the link, and then choose your password.

You might also look at How to Get Started.

For more general information, look at the What Is NaNoWriMo? page. There is also a page for Frequently Asked Questions.

Once you're signed up, here is our classroom: Walker Academy.

As you get started, here's some advice for week one.
